3 Sisters is situated towards the southern tip of the Island just beyond the town of Matara and is one of the South’s most beautiful and inviting beach houses.
Design
Designed around the vernacular style of the property's original Dutch owner, 3 Sisters takes its name from the expatriate owners' 3 daughters.
The owners have taken the once simple cottage and created the beautiful beach retreat that it is today. While staying faithful to key features of the original Dutch-style cottage, including a sweeping veranda and high ceilings throughout the house, 3 Sisters mixes modern touches with the rich antiquities of Sri Lanka. With antiques sourced from all over Sri Lanka, 3 Sisters, has been built to celebrate the past as well as savouring the beauty of the present location.3 Sisters meets the needs of modern visitors, with wifi available throughout the house. DVD players and sound system also available.

The property is perched above a secluded beach that is accessed from a private staircase in the property's coconut grove. The beach is one of the most popular in the area for surfing with its clean waves breaking over sandbars just a short paddle from the shore.

The two storey property has been designed with family and friends in mind without sacrificing a sense of personal space.
The ground floor includes two bedrooms with individual en-suites. The “Poolside” bedroom opens up to the living room with views over the pool and garden that extend to the Indian Ocean, which is literally at your door step.
With a separate entrance from the verandah, the “Courtyard” bedroom enjoys the privacy of its own open air private courtyard ideal for relaxing over a book and cup of tea, or showering off after a late afternoon swim in the sea.
Upstairs is the “Loft”, a unique and spacious open plan living area with its own external entrance which is perfect for a young family – or a great space for the kids to bunk while the parents enjoy the privacy of downstairs! With views overlooking the pool, beach and ocean, the Loft is a real gem that makes 3 Sisters a special beach house distinct from your typical “tropical villa”.
